Alfredo Gonçalves Calls for Urgent Repairs to the Tomé Barraz–Cachaço Road
City of Nova Sintra, September 28, 2026 (Bravanews) - Alfredo Gonçalves, a well-known resident of Brava and a very active figure in the community, urgently called for action on the road connecting Tomé Barraz to Cachaço, drawing attention to the poor condition of this important thoroughfare.
According to Alfredo Gonçalves, in a social media post, the road’s deterioration has been creating difficulties for the movement of people and vehicles, making it necessary to take action to improve mobility and safety conditions for users.
In his view, this is an issue that should not be delayed, especially given the importance of this road connection for the communities it serves and for traffic within the municipality.
Meanwhile, “in my humble opinion, rather than merely advocating for road repairs, the municipality’s priority should be to present the President of Cabo Verde’s Roads Authority with a clear and concrete picture of the disastrous condition of the Tomé Barraz–Cachaço road,” argues Goncalves.
A formal presentation of the situation, accompanied by details on the road’s current condition, could help draw the attention of the responsible authorities and accelerate the search for a solution to a problem that affects its users on a daily basis.
In my opinion, this should be the municipality’s top priority at this time, without neglecting other roads and streets in the municipality that also require repairs, maintenance, and care.
